Commenting guidelines
On this page, you will find the guidelines for how to respond on blog posts on Rockets are cool in a good and pleasant way.
On Rocketsare.cool it is possible to respond to articles. To prevent spam and nonsense you can only respond with an account. I think it is very important that this is done in a good atmosphere, where the comments are substantiated and readers respect each other. That is why I have established a number of house rules.
House rules
Clear guidelines
- English is the language of instruction
- Proper use of capitalization, punctuation and paragraphs is greatly appreciated
- Respond substantively and do not make a discussion personal
- Support your reaction/opinion with relevant arguments. Empty slogans or one-liners without substantiation can be removed.
- Do you see reactions that are not acceptable? Let me know.
- Illegal, misleading, unethical, commercial, discriminatory, defamatory, pornographic or violent material or information will be removed immediately
- Defamation, impersonation, attacks, insults, abuse, threats or other violations of the legal rights of others will not be accepted
- Do not post links to other sites
- Preferably use your own first name
- In the case of inadmissible usernames, a short-term ban will be handed out to change the name during that time.
- The comments section is not the place to discuss editorial choices.
- Unnecessary use of the CAPSLOCK function will be removed.
- Comments pertaining to a changed text can be removed
Offence
What happens
If a comment violates the house rules, it will not be approved (pre-moderation) or removed (post-moderation). Repeated abuse will result in a user being blocked. In far-reaching cases I can proceed to an IP ban. I reserve the right at all times to remove comments, even if they appear to comply with the house rules, but are deemed unsuitable for another substantive reason.
